KTM 250 Adventure Unveiled In Indonesia; India Launch Likely In December

KTM took the wraps off the much-awaited KTM 390 Adventure at the EICMA 2019. Now, the brand has silently unveiled the 250 Adventure for the Indonesian market. The KTM 250 Adventure which is based on its 390 Adventure brother and now takes place as the entry-level adventure motorcycle in the KTM family.[gallery size="full" ids="12693,12694"]Powering the KTM 250 Adventure is a 248.8cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that also powers the 250 Duke. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, this engine is capable of producing 30bhp of power and 24Nm of torque. While the 390 Adventure gets adjustable WP USD forks, the 250 Adventure gets non-adjustable WP units offering 170mm travel at the front and 177mm travel at the rear, same as the 390 Adventure. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear. However, the 250 runs on MRF Mogrip Meteor FM2  tubeless tyres instead of the 390’s Continental tyres. The bike also misses out on features like petal discs, traction control and adjustable suspension, which are available in the bigger sibling.The KTM 250 Adventure looks identical to the 390 Adventure and it shares the same chassis and body panels as the bigger 390. However, instead of the LED headlamp, the 250 Adventure gets a halogen unit just like on the 250 Duke. The fuel tank, the extensions, the radiator shroud, the belly pan, and the tail section are also exactly the same. The KTM 250 Adventure is fitted with a colour TFT console that is compatible with Bluetooth connectivity. In terms of electronics, the 250 Adventure only gets off-road ABS.
